Vetter Makes Bayhawks' Roster
2005 Alum Becomes Second Shoreman Currently in MLL

WASHINGTON, DC - 2005 Washington College graduate and three-time All-American Greg Vetter has made the opening day roster for the Washington Bayhawks, a Major League Lacrosse franchise. Vetter joins MLL All-Star Stephen Berger '04 of the Long Island Lizards as Washington College alumni currently on Major League Lacrosse rosters.

Vetter, a defenseman, was a second team All-American in 2005, a third team choice in 2004 and an honorable mention in 2003. Vetter totaled three goals, two assists, and 118 ground balls in 68 career games at Washington College. He was also a three-time All-Centennial Conference first team selection.

Vetter was chosen in the 2006 Major League Lacrosse supplemental draft by the Long Island Lizards in December of that year, but did not play during the 2007 season.

The Bayhawks are one of the six founding franchises of Major League Lacrosse, which has since expanded to 10 teams. The Bayhawks won the 2002 and 2005 MLL Championships while based in Baltimore before moving to the nation's capital following the 2006 season.

Vetter and the Bayhawks open the 2008 season Sunday against the defending MLL Champion Philadelphia Barrage at 2:00 p.m. in Virginia Beach, VA. The Bayhawks will play Berger's Long Island Lizards twice in the regular season. The first of those showdowns is slated for June 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the Bayhawks' home stadium, George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, VA.
