U-19 Team to World Championship
Washington College men's lacrosse alumni Kevin Giblin '85 and John Nostrant '86 served as assistant coaches for the United States U-19 Team that won its sixth consecutive International Lacrosse Federation (ILF) U-19 World Championship with a 19-12 victory over Canada in the gold medal game on July 12th in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Berger Repeats as MLL All-Star
WC Alum Has 22 Goals Through Eight Games
Long Island Lizards midfielder and 2004 Washington College graduate Stephen Berger (Columbia, MD/Mount St. Joseph) has been selected to play for the Eastern Conference team in the 2008 Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game to be held Thursday, July 17th, at Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver, CO. The game will air live on ESPN2 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. This is Berger's second consecutive MLL All-Star Game selection; he scored three goals in his All-Star Game debut last season.
