#21 Diplomats Top Shoremen, 95-64
Whall Scores 15 Points in Loss for Washington

LANCASTER, PA – Twenty-first ranked host Franklin & Marshall College never trailed en route to a 95-64 Centennial Conference men's basketball victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon at the Mayser Center. The first-place Diplomats improved to 19-2 overall and 12-2 in conference play and clinched a berth in the five-team Centennial Conference Tournament with the win. The Shoremen fell to 10-11 and 7-7 with the loss and are now in a tie with Haverford for fifth place in the conference.

Five Diplomats reached double figures in scoring in the game. Daniel Selig scored 17 points and brought down 12 rebounds, while James McNally added 17 points and seven rebounds. Mike Baker scored 16 points and collected eight boards, while Clay Scovill knocked down all seven of his shots from the field en route to 16 points. Georgio Milligan finished the game with 14 points and seven assists.

Washington junior forward James Whall (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) led the Shoremen with 15 points, while freshman guard Kevin Breslin (Hagerstown, MD/St. Maria Goretti) added 12 points and senior guard Tim Kohlrus (Fairfax, VA/W.T. Woodson) chipped in 11.

F&M shot 58% from the field in the win and held a 44-34 advantage on the boards.

The Shoremen return to action Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Haverford.
