6, 2008 COLLEGEVILLE, PA Twenty-first ranked host Ursinus College cruised to a 92-45 Centennial Conference men's basketball victory over visiting Washington College tonight in Collegeville, PA. The Bears improved to 18-2 overall and 13-0 in conference play with the win, while the Shoremen fell to 4-16 and 1-12 with the loss. Ursinus went on a 24-0 run in the first half and held a commanding 46-16 lead at halftime. Nick Shattuck scored 24 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out five assists, swiped three steals, and blocked two shots for Ursinus. Matt Hilton and John Noonan added 10 points each. Remy Cousart scored nine points and dished out a game-high six assists, while Matt Brundage blocked a game-high five shots. Sophomore guard Alan Kines (Towson, MD/Towson) led the Shoremen with nine points. Ursinus shot 64% from the field in the game to Washington's 28% and held a 41-27 advantage on the boards. The Shoremen are back in action Saturday with a 4:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against Franklin & Marshall. |
