Thad Moore Named Division III Athletic Trainer of the Year
CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Washington College Associate Athletic Director and Head Athletic Trainer Thad Moore has been selected as the 2014 NCAA Division III Athletic Trainer of the Year by the College/University Athletic Trainers’ Committee (CUATC) of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
Moore has served as the College's Head Athletic Trainer since 2000 and as the assistant and then associate AD since 2010. He received the Maryland Athletic Trainers Association (MATA) Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award in 2012 and a Service Award from the Mid Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Association (MAATA) a year later. He will also receive a Service Award from NATA this summer. In February, he was one of four recipients of the College's annual Presidential Distinguished Service Awards.
Each year the College/University Athletic Trainers' Committee recognizes one individual for exceptional performance as a head athletic trainer in each of the following collegiate divisions: NCAA D1, NCAA D2, NCAA D3, NAIA and Junior College/Community College. Award recipients are actively involved in their community or campus, athletic training associations and promotion of the profession.
