Super Saturday
Three Washington College athletics teams are competing for conference championships this weekend, while three others are jockeying for conference tournament berths and/or seeding. Here's the rundown:
Women's Rowing & Men's Rowing @
Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships
Gifford Pinchot State Park - Lewisberry, PA - 8:50
a.m.
What's at Stake: Both teams are looking to
defend their respective conference championships; for the Shoremen
it would be their third consecutive conference title. The
ninth-ranked Shorewomen's varsity eight race will have added
importance as a win over seventh-ranked Marietta would give the
Shorewomen a better shot at an NCAA Division III Championship
berth.

Baseball @ Muhlenberg
(double-header)
Lehigh County Sports Complex - Allentown, PA - 12:30
p.m.
What's at Stake: The Shoremen head into the last
weekend of regular-season play tied for third in the Centennial
Conference standings with Gettysburg and Dickinson and one game
behind second-place Haverford. The top four teams in the
regular-season standings advance to next weekend's
double-elimination conference tournament.

Men's Lacrosse @ Ursinus
Patterson Field - Collegeville, PA - 1:00 p.m.
What's at Stake: The 19th-ranked Shoremen have
already wrapped up their first Centennial Conference Tournament
berth since 2009. A win over Ursinus, coupled with a Dickinson win
over Gettysburg, would leave the Shoremen alone in first place in
the conference standings at the end of the regular season. The top
regular-season finisher will host the Centennial Conference
semifinals and championship next Friday and Sunday,
respectively.

Softball @ McDaniel
(double-header)
McDaniel Softball Field - Westminster, MD - 1:00
p.m.
What's at Stake: What isn't at stake? A sweep of
the Green Terror would give the Shorewomen the top seed and hosting
rights for next weekend's double-elimination, four-team Centennial
Conference Tournament. A split would still guarantee the Shorewomen
a spot in the tournament as the second or third seed. Two losses
would mean the Shorewomen would need a little help from results of
other conference games to make the tournament. If McDaniel wins
either game, the Green Terror will be the top seed and host of the
tournament.
Live Stats

Championship game. Fourth-ranked Gettysburg will face
Swarthmore in the first semifinal at 1:00 p.m. Sunday's
championship game will also be a 1:00 p.m. start.
